Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore, India


One of the divisions in the Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore is a development lab for PH. The Philips Medical Systems Software Competence Centre (PH-SCC) works with other development labs around the world to provide state-of-the-art systems and solutions to our customers - the doctors and hospitals that use our modalities to provide care to patients.

Our engineers provide 'end-to-end' solutions, covering requirement definition, architecture, design, development, integration and testing as well as on-site consultancy. And therefore the name Competence Centre.


The teams in Bangalore work on a wide array of applications impacting modality, department and enterprise in the healthcare domain.


On the modality front, we cover specific clinical applications, acquisition and reconstruction software (on the host), patient and DICOM data management (covering IHE needs), clinical reporting and serviceability tools.


On the department and enterprise front, we build solutions for patient and DICOM data management (covering HL7, IHE needs), data archival, web distribution and viewing of images.


Our architectures demand multi-tiered, distributed solutions with demanding quality of service scalability and availability needs.


Our development and deployment platforms are primarily Windows/Intel using a range of languages (C++ to C#), middleware/platform libraries (Win 32, COM, .NET).
