Test Engineering and Services Team


Formed under the aegis of Consumer Lifestyle in 2001, the Test Engineering and Services Team (TEST) is a strategic partner for various cross BU testing in the areas like interoperability competence and test automation. This team is a front runner in creating tools to aid software development and represents Philips in various CE standardization forums. It also has an arm that is the Competence Center for Configuration Management.

Over the years, the team has grown in strength and is instrumental in setting up the Interoperability Certification Center lab in PIC, Bangalore. This lab is a one stop center for certification, pre-certification, device to device interoperability tests for various connectivity technologies like HDMI, HDMI-CEC, DLNA/UPnP, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB host.

The HDMI Authorized Testing Center is unique within Philips and enables all Philips HDMI products to be certified. This dedicated laboratory carries out HDMI compliance testing according to the specifications of HDMI Compliance Test Specification (CTS) 1.3b. It has now opened its services to non Philips entities.

As all Philips products are certified here before commercial release, it ensures ‘sense and simplicity’ in connecting Philips devices.
